Wolfgang
Hieckmann is not
a typical nutcracker maker. The nutcrackers are one of
the many things he can do and does in his shop. Unlike
other nutcracker makers (Ulbricht, Steinbach) his Collector
Editions are really small and they are really HAND MADE.

So
far, Wolfgang Hieckmann has together with his ex-wife Monika
designed and made just a small number of characters like: -
Miner- Police officer (police man)- Guard soldier- Functional
Barstool Nutcracker. |
Currently
Wolfgang Hieckmann is working on a nutcrackers set depicting
the main characters of the “Nutcracker Ballet”:-
Mouse King- Mr. Drosselmeier- Clara- Prince (coming up
soon)- Sugar Plum Fairy (coming up soon)- Toy Soldier (coming
up soon).
These nutcrackers are made in two different sizes: about
20” (50 cm) high
or about 48” (125 cm) high. The 20” series is limited to 750 pieces
and the 48” series is limited to 50 pieces.
The 48” series will be made by custom order. All nutcrackers are numbered
and signed by the artists.
